Digital Channels Reaction Many shoppers and sellers have taken to social media saying Vinted listings now show an altered size classification compared to what was initially listed due to the recalibration. The platform stated the updated approach better aligns with other platforms. The platform has recommended to examine their items and adjust the sizing manually where appropriate, resulting in member annoyance. Size Classification Updates Before the change, the sizes had both one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10. The new system has a letter and a range like S/UK 8-10. With some products, the size labels have been reassigned - for example a size L was previously a 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18. Member Stories A fashion influencer, who produces content about larger sizing, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," the way the service now categorizes. Stephanie Gallen, located in Scotland, stated items she posted with size 14 tags were appearing on the platform as larger sizing 20-22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they will likely be quite upset," she said. Manual Updates Another shopper, based in Derby, explained she became annoyed because the modification necessitated personal updates the measurements for "each individual item".
